Electric Toothbrush Modules

The electric toothbrush has undergone significant improvements since its inception in 1954, spanning over 70 years.

From a principle standpoint, electric toothbrushes can be broadly classified into two categories: rotating and vibrating. Rotating electric toothbrushes operate on a simple principle, where a circular brush head rotates using an electric motor. This rotational motion enhances the friction effect while performing the standard brushing action. These types of electric toothbrushes provide strong cleaning power and effectively clean the tooth surfaces. However, they may be less effective in cleaning between teeth and can potentially cause tooth wear, making long-term use not recommended.

Vibrating toothbrushes, on the other hand, are more complex and typically fall into the higher-end price range. They are equipped with an internal vibrating motor that generates high-frequency oscillations perpendicular to the handle direction. Although the amplitude of this oscillation is very small, typically around 5 millimeters up and down, with the industry’s largest swing range at 6 millimeters. During the brushing process, the high-frequency oscillations of the brush head efficiently perform the brushing action. Moreover, the vibrations exceeding 30,000 times per minute help create a large number of tiny bubbles when mixed with toothpaste and water in the oral cavity. These tiny bubbles generate pressure when they burst, allowing them to penetrate and clean the dirt deep within the tooth crevices.

With the continuous advancement of sonic motor technology, innovative sonic toothbrushes have gained widespread recognition in the market. The design of these toothbrushes includes modules such as the housing, mainboard, battery, motor, and brush head. However, the relatively large space occupied by the battery and mainboard, as well as the subpar grip experience, have been criticized by users.

This solution optimizes the performance and size of traditional PCBA solutions using chip-level technological advantages. It synchronously integrates the battery and wireless charging capabilities while compressing the overall volume.
